Effective July 28, 2026
Welcome to RiverWatcher. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of riverwatcher.app and the RiverWatcher mobile app (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You’re responsible for the security of your login and for any activity under your account.
Guide.AI is available in a Free tier (5 questions per day) and a Pro tier (30 questions per day). Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store:
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and duration unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple or Google account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours of the period’s end.
How to cancel. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device’s subscription settings:
Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro access until the end of the current paid period. We do not process cancellations or refunds directly — those are handled by Apple and Google under their respective store policies.
Price changes. If we change subscription prices, the new price applies only to future renewals and you’ll be notified in advance in accordance with Apple and Google store rules.
Please don’t:
We may suspend accounts that violate these rules or that harm the Service’s stability.
RiverWatcher aggregates weather, river-gauge, and tide data from third parties for informational and planning purposes only. Conditions change quickly, upstream sources can be delayed or wrong, and readings may not reflect real-time reality on the water. Do not rely on the Service for safety-critical decisions. Always check current conditions locally, wear a PFD in moving water, follow all posted regulations, and use your own judgment.
Guide.AI generates fishing advice using a large language model grounded in our internal knowledge base. Answers may contain errors, out-of-date information, or generalizations that don’t apply to your specific water. Verify regulations with the state fish & wildlife agency (linked in-app) before you fish. Guide.AI is not a substitute for a licensed guide or professional advice.
Fishing intel surfaced in the Service — including river conditions, lake levels, tide predictions, stocking reports, weather, and signals — is aggregated from public sources such as USGS, NOAA, NWS, state fish & wildlife agencies, and public YouTube uploads via the YouTube Data API. RiverWatcher does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any third-party data and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these sources.
Fishing licenses, seasons, size limits, catch limits, and gear restrictions are set by the state fish & wildlife agency where you fish. RiverWatcher may summarize or link to closures and emergency rules, but you are solely responsible for confirming current regulations and holding valid licenses before fishing.
The Service, including our knowledge base, fishing reports, and app UI, is owned by RiverWatcher and protected by U.S. copyright law. Third-party data (weather, gauges, tides, regulations) remains the property of its source. You may view and use the Service for personal, non-commercial fishing planning.
You can delete your account at any time by emailing nickzent89@gmail.com (see our Privacy Policy). Deleting your account cancels the ability to use Pro on this account going forward but does not automatically refund an in-progress subscription — refund requests must be submitted to Apple or Google. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RiverWatcher is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including missed fish, unsuccessful trips, property damage, or personal injury. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in state or federal courts located in Clark County, Washington.
If we make material changes, we’ll update the effective date above and notify logged-in users on next sign-in. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
